If you are an m worder (migraneur) with severe migraines, you know the ER drill inside and out. You know which emergency rooms in your town provide the best accommodations for migraines: which ones turn the lights off for you, get you hooked up to an IV the fastest, hand you a bucket for when you - well, get sick - and give you the best general care.
During my most recent experience in December, I was treated by a truly compassionate ER doctor who provided excellent care for my family and me. However, like many other m worders, I’ve had my fair share of nightmares, including one doctor who refused to let my family speak.
Migraine.com hosted a fantastic interview with an ER doctor I want to share with you. I’ll admit that I’ve never stopped to think about migraines from the doctor’s perspective. How frustrating it must be for doctors to not be able to have any way to measure the patient’s pain or have any surefire method of treatment for migraines!
